TS" is you can and will wind up with good tunes either way. The way I see the original title of this thread "DP vs. It is my own beliefs that cause this dilemma so DP is not to blame but.you see my point. This is where I would appreciate some flexibility in the chip which DP does not offer. I am a firm believer in having the maker/assembler of the injectors also tune the injectors which, of course, leaves DP out of the equation and would mean that I will need to buy a new chip for each truck when the injectors get replaced. I have debated just putting AD's back in it so I could run the same tuning but also like the advantages of the single-shots and maybe even hybrids which of course would mean new tunes would be in order. Now, OTOH, I have 160K+ miles on my truck and have begun the search for injectors. I guess I am one of the thousands of lucky ones. Yes I know about the blown engines and the resultant threads that blamed the tuner and every time I worry about mine I just go fire it up and drive away. I also have a DP tuned PCM in my truck which is a nice option that you won't find other places. That's 200K+ miles total with no complaints at all about the performance of the trucks or the chips in them. I have had DP-Tuner chips (old style and F-5's) on both of our 7.3's for over 100K miles each. OK, I normally don't chime in on the tuner threads but I think some balance needs to be brought to the discussion.
